Dr. Lopez is absolutely AMAZING. He & his team have been treating my daughter for her cleft lip, and we are officially over 3 weeks post op from the final lip repair. Not only did Dr. Lopez ensure we were all fully knowledgeable and prepared leading up to the birth as well as all procedures, he made sure we were able to put all of our trust fully into him. I was referred to Dr. Lopez for nerve damage. He did an occipital nerve decompression on November 16, 2023, and I am pain-free. I have managed to move out of my house, get a full-time job, and live my life. Before, I could barely get out of bed. I am off all of my medications and am no longer having Botox injections. The office is very welcoming, and the staff there are amazing. I can't recommend Dr. Lopez enough. He ensured I understood the procedure fully and what recovery would look like. He talked me through it and ensured I was confident in my decision. He genuinely cares about how his patients are doing and is invested in their lives and well-being. I wanted to leave this review over a month ago after my son’s 1 year post surgery appointment with Dr. Lopez, but truly wanted to take time to leave a proper review. In early 2022, we noticed my son develop a small skin-toned bump on his left cheek. It seemed to not change for some time so we thought it was just from touching his face, dermatologist didn’t think much of it as it could be countless things or even nothing. After it started to grow, we saw a surgeon who seemed quick to do surgery and didn’t have much bedside manner, and didn’t acknowledge our son aside from looking at the bump. So, we went to a previous surgeon my son had for a surgery during infancy, he referred us to Dr. Lopez as he felt confident he had the skill set to do proper stitching on our son’s face. Little did we know we’d get the very best & extremely qualified surgeon! Dr. Lopez made sure to get to know us, acknowledge our son as his own person (he was 3 at the time), and made sure to take the steps to make sure we felt comfortable with decisions that had to be made. We went home to research more about him and found his AdventHealth profile. We were pleasantly surprised to learn Dr. Lopez is the Chief of Pediatric Head & Neck Surgery. We felt extremely confident after reading his extensive background and education. I recommend everyone goes to read that as it’s impressive and will put your mind completely at ease on choosing your child’s surgeon. He made sure our son did imaging prior to surgery because my son had other issues going on at the time unrelated to the bump on his face. Luckily our son didn’t need that to be addressed and Dr. Lopez made sure our son didn’t go through anything extra unnecessarily. This was especially important to us as our son has been through a lot medically since his premature birth which required a long NICU stay and surgery at 2 months old, so he is a bit anxious with doctors. Day of the surgery he made sure we didn’t worry and that our son was in good hands. As soon as the surgery was complete he came out to greet us and told us our son did great, explained the cyst our son had in great detail and about how big the incision was, let us know they sent the cyst for testing, and where our son was going. He also stuck around to make sure he answered all of our questions. When we saw Dr. Lopez in his office to do check ups every few months, he made sure he explained how to care for the scar to get the very best results to avoid a scar revision down the road. We did everything recommended, scar massaging, silicone strips, and sunscreen. He was also very respectful and seemed interested to hear when I explained I added breastmilk to our routine. Our son’s scar is barely noticeable at all, if he didn’t tan easily, it would be invisible. Dr. Lopez truly cares about his patients and takes his time, he’s thorough, knowledgeable, and listens to any concerns you may have. We feel so lucky to have found him for our son and hoping neither of our children ever need another surgery, but he’d be our first choice if so!! My son had surgery at 3months of age to remove a congenital defect by his ear. As new parents this was quite a stressful ordeal and we could not have asked for a better doctor than Dr. Lopez. He was terrific. My wife and I were so impressed with the outcome of the surgery. He did an amazing job, and you won't find another physician with a better bedside manner. He is top notch. His outpatient staff including his P.A. were all terrific as well. I would highly recommend him and his team for any pediatric craniofacial issues.

Amazing Doctor!!! Is super knowledgeable when it comes to maxillofacial issues, point of care, and treatment. Has amazing bedside manner and extremely professional. This is the doctor you can trust your babies with. So glad we found him! Office staff is efficient and very polite. They all have happy and friendly smiles that make you feel welcomed.

The staff was friendly, efficient and they have great communication. Dr. Joesph Lopez was not only the most knowledgeable but also the most skilled, he truly is passionate about patient care. At first I was scared about doing my baby surgery at 8 months old because he was so young but Dr Lopez and his team (Britney,Kimone and Elaina ) just a few that I had close encounter with ,was with me from beginning to end . I now get to see my son growing up each day and meeting his milestone daily. he is one year old now super strong for his age and eat just about anything . The experience I've had with Dr.Lopez was phenomenal. I went under is care after I've had a horrendous motorcycle accident that nearly destroyed my leg.
